Warrant canary renewed
A periodic statement that we have received no national security letters or equivalent orders covering the period since the last canary.
We publish a renewing warrant canary on /canary. This cycle it remains unchanged: we have not received any national security letter, gag order, or equivalent request requiring nondisclosure.
Why a canary
A canary is a way to disclose the existence of an order without violating it. If it is ever removed or altered, you know something changed. We renew ours monthly and sign the timestamped statement; the signature chain lives in the public repo.
Stay up to date
Follow this blog and the RSS feed for instant notice of every renewal — because silence is the signal, and the canary is how we make silence visible.
