Paying for hosting with crypto and no card (step by step)

A complete crypto payment walkthrough: choosing a coin, getting a wallet, sending from an exchange versus your own wallet, confirmation times and what to do if a deposit looks stuck.

Paying with crypto replaces the card processor entirely, which is the whole privacy benefit — but it introduces steps most card users have never done. This guide covers the full flow: picking a coin, moving funds to a wallet you control, sending to a unique deposit address, and what each failure state looks like.

Step 1 — choose the coin

Monero for maximum payment privacy. USDT or USDC for speed and simplicity. Bitcoin or Litecoin if you already hold them. All ten supported options credit the same USD balance, so the coin affects privacy, fees and speed — not what you get.

CoinNetworkConfirmationTypical fee
Monero (XMR)Monero~10 blocks (~20 min worst case)Low
Bitcoin (BTC)Bitcoin3–6 confirmationsVariable, can spike
Litecoin (LTC)Litecoin6 confirmationsLow
Ethereum (ETH)Ethereum~12 confirmationsCan be dollars

Solana (SOL)SolanaSecondsFractions of a cent
Tron (TRX)Tron~1 minLow

Step 2 — get the funds into a wallet you control

Never pay straight from an exchange. Exchange withdrawals are batched, can arrive late, and carry your verified identity's timing — which quietly undoes the privacy you are paying for. Withdraw to your own wallet first, wait for it to confirm, and pay from there.

  1. 01.Create or open a wallet for the coin you chose — a hardware wallet, a mobile wallet, or a desktop wallet you control.
  2. 02.Withdraw from your exchange to your wallet address.
  3. 03.Wait for the withdrawal to confirm on-chain.
  4. 04.Create the deposit on NoctisNode and copy the generated address.
  5. 05.Send the exact amount from your wallet to that address.

Step 3 — send the exact amount

The deposit screen shows an expected amount for the chosen coin. Send the exact figure. Under-sending can leave the deposit unable to clear the chain's minimum threshold, and over-sending credits the balance but the difference is not refunded — so match it precisely.

Note · Each deposit gets its own address. Never reuse an old one, and never send funds to an address from a previous, completed deposit.

Step 4 — wait for confirmation

Credit happens automatically once the chain confirms — no support ticket, no manual step. Stablecoin networks on Base, Polygon or Solana usually confirm in seconds. Monero takes a few blocks. Bitcoin and Ethereum take the longest. You can watch the status move from awaiting_payment to confirmed in the panel.

If the deposit looks stuck

  1. 01.Confirm the transaction actually broadcast — check the hash on the coin's explorer.
  2. 02.Verify you used the right network. USDT on Ethereum and USDT on Polygon are different chains; the wrong one is the most common cause of a lost deposit.
  3. 03.Check you sent from a wallet that had already finished its own confirmations.
  4. 04.If all three check out and it is still stuck after the network's normal finality, contact support with the transaction hash.

Network fees and choosing a cheaper network

The same coin on a different network has a different cost. USDT on Ethereum can cost several dollars to send, while USDT on Polygon or Solana costs a fraction of a cent. If your exchange supports multiple networks for the coin, withdraw over the cheapest one.

FAQ

QHow long until the balance is credited?

ASeconds on Base, Polygon and Solana; a few minutes for Monero, Litecoin and Tron; up to an hour for Bitcoin and Ethereum depending on fees.

QCan I pay straight from Binance or Coinbase?

ATechnically, but you should withdraw to your own wallet first. Direct exchange payments are slow and tie the spend to your verified account timing.

QWhat if I send the wrong network?

AIf the funds land on the wrong chain they are usually recoverable but not by us, because they never reached our deposit address. Contact support with the hash — recovery depends entirely on the exchange's policy.

QIs there a card option at all?

ANo. Crypto-only is deliberate: a card on file is exactly the identity link this model removes.
